About Omega 3 Fish oils

May 27th, 2008

Question: What’s all the fuss about Omega 3 fish oils? What do they do for my body?

Answer: Omega 3 fish oils are a substance that can be found in the bodies of fish. However, eating fresh fish is no longer recommended. The mercury levels that are prevalent in almost all fresh fish these days can be very detrimental to your health. However, companies have manufactured fish oil that is mercury free by processing the oils that naturally occur in the fish. Omega 3 is a type of fat that is essential for human health. Omega 3 contains two fatty acids that benefit the human body greatly, which are known as DHA and EPA.

These fatty acids have been linked to helping prevent heart disease, cancer, and many other diseases. DHA is also required by the human brain. Low levels of DHA in the brain have been linked to depression, schizophrenia, memory loss, and an increased chance of being stricken with Alzheimer’s disease. Therefore, the regular and repeated consumption of Omega 3 fish oils can greatly help affect the quality of your life for the better.

The American Heart Association recommends the use of fish oils to help your hearts performance as long as you keep your dosage under 3 grams per day, suggesting an amount roughly between 0.5 to 1.8 grams per day. Clinical trials conducted have shown that Omega 3 fish oils can reduce cardiovascular events including heart attacks, strokes, and even death.

Also, research has shown that fish oils can help decrease the risk of arrhythmias, decrease triglyceride levels, decrease the growth rate of atherosclerotic plaque, and even slightly lower blood pressure! With all these facts, there is no doubt that the regular and responsible use of Omega 3 fish oils from supplements can be of great benefit to your health.

When the fall ended, and winter was just around the corner, you
probably did like most of us and threw a cover over the old
grill, rolled it into the back of the garage or a shed (and some
of us even left them standing outside on the patio), and tucked
it away for the season. With the grilling and barbecuing season
just around the corner again, your thoughts are probably
returning to that old grill. But before you fire it up, you will
want to do a little spring cleaning to get it ready for the
season ahead.

Here are a few simple things to do to ensure that your grill
operates all season safely and without issue.

Clean the Grids, Grate and Briquettes

First, inspect the lava grate (upon which the briquettes rest)
to see if it is broken or about to break, which is fairly common
considering the extreme changes of heat it endures. If you see
that it is broken, replace the grate.

Next, check the cooking grid (or grill) and warming rack.
Thoroughly clean them with a wire brush or scraper to remove any
built-up food residue, using a mild detergent solution or a
commercial degreaser. If the grid is broken or severely chipped
and gouged, replace it with a universal replacement available at
most hardware stores, or if you are finding it difficult to
locate, order one from the company that made your unit.

Now about briquettes. First, if you noticed you were getting a
lot of flare-ups or uneven heat distribution last season, you
should discard the old briquettes and get new ones. If you don’t
have to replace your briquettes you will still need to clean
them. If you have ceramic briquettes, the easiest way to remove
old grunge and buildup is to put them in the sink and cover them
with vinegar. Let the briquettes stand for 10 - 20 minutes.
Drain off the vinegar and rinse thoroughly with boiling water.
Let dry thoroughly before using.

If you have the porous lava rock you might want to check with
your local dealer about a commercial cleaning solution; however,
if they are more than two seasons old, you should replace them.

Check the Grill Ignitor

If when you give it a test the igniter does not seem to be
functioning, check to make sure the electrode is one-eighth of
an inch away from the burner. This is the correct distance
required for spark generation. Examine the ignitor closely to
ensure that no food residue has built up on the electrode.
Additionally, check to see that the electrode is not cracked.
Check the surrounding area of the igniter to be sure that it is
not shorting out or sparking at the grill frame or the casting
bottom. If none of these problems exist and it still does not
spark, it is time to get a new igniter which is easily available
at your local hardware store or directly from the vendor.

Clean and Inspect the Grill Burner

CAUTION: Be sure to consult your owner’s manual for the
instructions on how to remove the burner. Also, before removing
the burner, take particular note of the position of the Venturi
tube(s) at the gas control valve. Do not try to remove the
Venturi tube(s) from the burner base itself as it is extremely
easy to damage the sealing gasket and break the seal.

Following your grill manufacturer’s instructions, remove the
burner. Use a stiff brush to remove any built up residue from
the burner. Inspect closely for holes or cracks which occur most
commonly at the burner seams. Un-clog the burner ports, which
are the little holes along the edge of the burner using a
toothpick or a piece of copper wire. You may also use a small
nail, but be careful you can easily pierce or damage the ports.
If you encounter any kind of damage, do not attempt to re-use
the burner. It is simply not worth the plastic surgery to
save a few dollars on a burner.

After sitting over the winter, the Venturi tubes may contain
dirt, spider webs, water or other debris. These tubes may be
cleaned by using bent pipe cleaners, a very small bottle brush,
or a special Venturi brush which can be purchased from your
local barbecue dealer.

Clean the Grill Housing

Now, while everything is out of the housing it is a good time to
clean it as well. Using a commercial grease remover, wear rubber
gloves and eye protection and use a stiff, steel brush and a
scraper to remove any soot and grease residue build-up from the
inside housing of your cooker. Before actually cleaning be sure
to cover valve holes and connection parts with aluminum foil to
protect them from damage and blockage.

After you have brushed and scraped the grill interior, wipe away
any remaining grime and dry with paper towels.

Now is also a good time to check and ensure that all the nuts
and bolts and other connections on the grill are solid and
tight. This will help to ensure the grills stability and
steadiness.

You Are Now Ready To Put It Back Together Again.

Reinstall the burner(s), igniter, rock grate, lava rocks or
ceramic briquettes, and the cooking grids. Be absolutely sure to
replace the burners exactly as they were before you removed
them. When replacing the burner, remembering the Venturi tube(s)
position from earlier, place the ends of the Venturi tubes over
the gas valves so they engage in a straight line. Make sure that
the valve orifices are one-quarter inch inside the Venturi
tubes.

Inspect the Hose Assembly

Before starting, remember these rules to ensure your safety:

- DO NOT SMOKE or permit any flame or other source of
ignition in the area while conducting the leak test.

- DO NOT use matches, lighters, or flames of any kind to
check for leaks.

- DO NOT use the grill until all leaks are repaired and
double checked!

- DO conduct the test outdoors in a well ventilated
area.

- If you are unable to stop a leak, shut off the gas supply
and call a qualified Gas Appliance professional immediately.

Inspect the hose closely for cracks, nicks or cuts. If you find
any, do NOT attempt to repair them with electrical tape or any
other kind of sealer. The gas is under pressure and any defect
weakens the hose which can easily result in a fire or explosion.
If any defects are found, replace the hose before attempting to
use your grill.

The Soap Test

If no damage is readily visible it doesn’t mean it doesn’t
exist. To really verify that there are no pinhole leaks, perform
the soap test by mixing a 50/50 solution of water and
dishwashing soap in a bowl. Make sure that all the control knobs
are in the ‘Off’ position, and rub the soap solution over all
hose connections. Then, turn the gas on at the tank (or the gas
valve for natural gas units) and check each connection to see if
there are any bubbles gurgling up. If there are, the connection
is leaking gas.

If you detect a leak, wipe off the solution, remove the hose and
reconnect it again, being sure the fittings are straight and
connections well tightened. Be careful not to overtighten though
as you could strip the connection. Once you are satisfied that
all connections are tight, perform the soap test again. If the
leak persists, replace the hose assembly prior to using your
grill.

Check the Tank

It is also important to check your propane tank, if you have
one, to ensure there are no holes, dents, rusted weak spots,
cracks, or other damage. If any damage is detected, the tank
should be replaced immediately. Also, most areas have a
expiration date which governs the life of the tank. If the tank
is past its expiration date, replace it immediately.

It is a bit of work, but preparing your grill for the barbecue
season ahead is quite simple and fast do to. If you are doing
this for the first time, do not rush. It may take you a couple
of hours to complete the task, but it is worth it to have a safe
grill that will provide you with years of great outdoor cooking.

Career as a photographer?

May 27th, 2008

Picture this. You just got a new digital camera and you are
getting to see good shots everywhere. You take photos of
everything. Your neighbors garden, the street, etc.

What’s more, you just bought a several-megabyte memory card to
hold all the pictures that you have taken and many more. The
catch? The members of your family do not want you anymore the
printer anymore because you have already used up most of the
inks that costs a lot to buy.

It all boils down to you wanting the best photo printer. Full
colors with high resolution printing and an additional advantage
of you printing directly from that high memory card that you
have.

Nowadays, these factors are not an impossibility anymore. If you
are the family type person and wants to show off to all your
relatives what you have taken right there and then, try to have
one of those small portable photo printers. Best if you own it
exclusively to avoid not being denied usage of the printer that
the family owns.

The only downside to this is that you would not getting the same
quality as those printed from a highly modernized printer or
done by expert printing shops. But it will be real close.
Besides, you will have photos you can hand out on the spot. The
soonest possible time after you have them taken.

What are some of the features you should look for in a portable
photo printer?

It should have a resolution of at least 4800 x 1200, with the
ability to print on heavy papers. Since you are dealing with
photos, photo enhancing abilities should be included in the
driver. For good measure, a photo display and editing software
should come in handy indeed.

Additional extra tools would be nice too. Like the tiniest of
LCD screens to view the photos before you have them printed. A
media card reader that will give you the capability to print
directly from the memory card.

Other useful trinkets would be the ability of the printer to
connect to the digital camera. And for better results, a
borderless printing would be an advantage to avoid borders that
seem too wide for the photos.

Every photo enthusiast should consider these things to get the
best results in their newly-acquired hobby that others may not
seem happy to share with you. Who knows what you would turn out
to be?

Can’t wait to get back to the garden? Use this handy spring garden guide to get started. Believe it or not, the key is avoid getting too impatient and doing certain jobs too soon.

Early spring jobs: in the yard

  • Start winter cleanup of the lawn when the grass is no longer sopping wet and planting beds stop being a sea of mud. Rake your lawn to get rid of dead growth, stray leaves, twigs and winter debris and let light and air to the soil level, encouraging the grass to grow.

  • Re-seed bare or damaged patches of lawn. Scratch up the soil with a rake first. Mix a shovel of soil with a couple of scoops of grass seed and spread in the patch you’re fixing. Rake level and keep well-watered until seeds germinate and the new grass establishes.

  • Remove tree guards or burlap winter protection from any young trees or shrubs. Try not to leave tree guards in place over the summer. They keep rabbits and mice from nibbling on tender bark over the winter, but trees don’t need them in summer. They don’t allow enough air movement around the base of the trunk and that can promote rot of the bark.

  • Transplant any existing shrubs you want to move before they begin to leaf out.

  • Weeds start growing vigorously early, so when you spot them, go to it. Getting on top of the weeding now means a lot less work later. Weeds are easier to pull out while their roots are still shallow in early spring.

  • Apply dormant oil spray to fruit trees, magnolias, crabapples and shrubs such as euonymous to control scale insects and other overwintering pests. Use this organic pest control method when the buds are swelling but the leaves haven’t opened yet. Apply when temperatures are between 40 and 70 degrees F (4-21 degrees C).

  • Get your lawn mower checked and its blades sharpened if you didn’t get the job done in late winter. Sharp blades cut better and leave your lawn grass healthier.

Early spring garden jobs: In the flower garden

  • Don’t be in a rush to remove winter mulch or to cut back evergreen plants such as lavender until temperatures are reliably warm.

  • Freeze and thaw cycles over the winter may given some of your plants the heave-ho. Replant any perennials that the frost has heaved out of the ground as soon as you can.

  • Cut back any remaining dead perennial foliage from last season (trimmings can go into the compost).

  • Cut back ornamental grasses to about 10 inches from the ground.

  • Remove winter protection of mounded earth from roses. Prune rose bushes before they start to leaf out.

  • Resist the urge to start digging in your flower beds too early. You can damage the soil’s structure. If you pick up a handful of soil, it should fall apart, not stick together like glue. When it’s dry enough, you can start to dig beds and add compost or manure in preparation for planting.

  • Grass growth is vigorous in the early spring garden, so edge your flower beds with a sharp trench between them and the grass to keep it in bounds. Repeat this job a couple of times through the season, or installing permanent edging goes a long way towards having a lower maintenance flower garden.

Why a blind child ought to miss the Harry Potter books? Why can’t he enjoy like millions of children all over the world the Harry Potter magic? Well, he can enjoy it. Indeed, he can not read the books or watch the movies but he can listen to the audio books, which is also a great experience.

Audio books may be useful for many populations - Elder people could go on “reading” audio books when they are not capable of reading books any more, busy career people can listen to business journals and magazines via audio books, children can listen to audio books of a higher level than they are able to read etc.

However, it seems that one of the populations that may gain the most out of audio books is not using them yet.
There are approximately 10 million blind and visually impaired people in the United States alone. Audio books can enhance their life personally and professionally.

First, audio books can help blind people enjoy the experience of reading books. Years ago, people predicted that the end of the paper books is near due to new technologies. However, the popularity of books keeps increasing. They provide a special experience no other gadget can compete with. Audio books can supply a similar experience for the blind population.

Secondly, audio books can take blind people’s education one step forward. Learning foreign languages, poetry, literature, English grammar etc. could be optimized using audio books. Did you know that there are approximately 93,600 visually impaired or blind students in the United States?

Thirdly, blind people can develop habits and hobbies using audio books. One could find audio books about every subject from fishing to knitting guides.
And finally, unfortunately blind people are often treated as outsiders and develop inferiority emotions. There are a lot of self creation, self confidence and awareness audio book guides which can help them.
Whether you belong to the blind and visually impaired people or not, we strongly advise you to join the audio book experience now. Have fun.

Q. “What do you want to be when you grow up?” A. “Something
that hasn’t been invented yet.”

Most of us were brought up to study hard, get good grades,
choose a “practical” college major, and strive for a “good job.”

Talk to a stranded midlife career-changer and you realize the
game has changed. Yesterday’s rules prepared us to be passengers
on a large ocean liner that promised a smooth voyage. Today we
realize that ocean liner turned out to be the Titanic and we
need to keep ourselves afloat on a small life raft if we want to
survive.

Here are some tips to help your child learn not only to survive,
but to thrive and grow in a chaotic world.

1. From the first day of kindergarten, encourage your child to
build on strengths rather than focus on limitations.

Does she spend hours studying models of cars for the last twenty
years? Maybe she’ll become an auto mechanic — or maybe she’ll
parlay her ability to classify detailed information into a
career as a biologist or pharmacist.

2. Encourage your child to choose a field of study based on his
or her natural abilities and passions, not “what will get me a
job.”

Claudia Kennedy, the Army’s first female three-star General,
majored in philosophy. In her book Generally Speaking, she
claims philosophy prepared her to become a top-level
intelligence officer. Carly Fiorino, famed CEO of
Hewlett-Packard, studied medieval history. And Michael Lewis,
financial writer and best-selling author of Liars Poker, was an
art history major.

3. Assure your children that few mistakes are fatal.

Did your child fail a course? Face rejection from a first-choice
college? Most of us can’t avoid an occasional failure, but we
can learn bounce-back attitudes as soon as we can talk.

Yolanda Griffith, WNBA basketball star, dropped out of a premier
program due to pregnancy. She returned to a lower-ranked college
program, baby in tow, and now plays for the Sacramento Monarchs.

I once taught a student who had flunked out of junior college
following a close call with the legal system. After a four-year
stint in the US Navy, she returned to college, maintained a
dean’s list grade point average, and went on to a top law school.

4. Encourage your child to experience success in any area of
her life.

Did she make the honor roll? Get selected for a play, a club, or
athletic team? Win an election for competitive office? Survive a
strenuous application process for a summer job? Once your child
has tasted success, he will know how it feels and will act like
a winner when he enters the job market.

Cecilia, a shy twelve-year-old, blossomed when she won the lead
in a school play. “We want you to improve your grades, not spend
time in rehearsal!” fumed her worried mother.

To everyone’s surprise, Cecilia’s grades improved and she made
new friends with the “good kids” who were also achievers. Most
important, no matter what happens, Cecilia can return to that
feeling of success whenever she gets discouraged.

5. Getting into a top university — or any university — will
not guarantee success.

I’ve met Ivy Leaguers who have experienced unemployment,
bankruptcy and even homelessness. I’ve met high school drop outs
who flourished on their own initiative. In my own small town, a
couple with degrees from excellent schools have dropped out to
pursue artistic careers — and they clean houses to pay the
bills. Recently a minimum wage job was posted by a nonprofit –
and several unemployed lawyers applied.

Career-changers who face the future with an attitude of “I can
handle anything” are the ones who win today. Tossed into the
ocean, they’ll improvise a set of oars and keep up their spirits
till they figure out what to do next. Those who feel betrayed
(”I thought I was set for life”) flounder around for weeks,
months, even years.

Entitlement is over. Those who have a positive outlook, who can
seize the unexpected opportunity, can count on reaching the
shore. And they realize that only they can transform a resting
place into a safe harbor.

Customer Service Hell

May 24th, 2008

When I am referred to the customer service department of a large company I let out a big groan. The dreaded customer service department is often a clearing house for questions and complaints. This is a typical telephone conversation I have had with a one of these departments:

Ring Ring. Recorded message: “We are sorry but all our representatives
are busy right now. You are held in a queue….” you know the rest. Mozart
Jupiter Symphony. The “held in queue” message and Mozart cycle many
times as 2 minutes pass, then 3, 4 until, after 6 minutes a female voice says:

“Thank you for calling customer service. What is you customer
number?”. Now what kind of state will a typical caller be in at this point
in time? I mean what are customers expected to do perched on the end of a
telephone line for 6 minutes. File their nails? Read the paper? We are all
different. Some of us will calmly accept these things and wait. Others build up
a head of steam. A small puff of steam after a couple minutes turns into a sauna
at 4 minutes and into an inferno by 6 minutes. I am in this latter camp.

So by now my original enquiry has taken second place as I object to my life
being wasted in this way.

Me: I would like to complain….
Customer Service [Interrupts]: What is your customer number, sir
Me: I have had to wait on the line for 6 minutes and I would like to complain
about it
Customer Service: I am sorry about that, sir. What is your customer number?

I am now more incensed because I can tell that this person is not sorry at
all. Why should she feel my pain? She doesn’t know me. I am just a number to her
and she is more interested in getting this number than even knowing my name. It
would not be natural for her to feel real sorrow for me. No, she says she is
sorry, but she plainly is not. This would not normally be a big deal, but
remember that my head of steam is starting to spew out of my ears and I am
getting very edgy.

Me: I want you to reimburse the cost of this telephone call. Why have you
left me on hold for so long?
Customer Service: We have been very busy
Me: But why should that be my problem?
Customer Service: We are a very large company with a lot of customers and you
need to wait your turn

And that’s another thing. Customer service staff who tell me what I need to
do all the time. I digress…

Me: If you are so successful, why don’t you take on more staff to answer
the telephone?
Customer Service: Sir, I need your customer number to process your complaint.

Now, the next bit is the body blow, the killer word that stops most customer
service personnel in their tracks. And the word is: WHY.

Me: Why?
[Pause] Customer Service: That is the procedure, sir.
Me: Well that is not
MY procedure.
Customer Service: I am sorry sir but I cannot….
Me: [Interrupts]: Who is in charge of writing the procedure?
Customer Service: I cannot tell you that information, sir.
Me: I want to speak with your boss.
Customer Service: My boss is busy right now. You can call back later
Me: Please leave a message with your boss to call me….
Customer Service: You will need to call US, sir
.

Here we go…. Me: WHY?
Customer Service: We are not an outbound call operation, sir.
Me: Why?
Customer Service: I am terminating this call sir. Goodbye.

The above is a virtual transcript from a real conversation and represents
many that I have had. I was obviously getting nowhere. In this situation you may
as well end the call. But why not do it in style? Don’t be rude to the customer
service representative. That would surely put you onto their level. Don’t slam
the phone down either. No, in order to maintain your dignity and maintain the
moral high ground you can escape from customer service hell by dropping in the
“why” word a few times. I virtually terminated the call myself by
repeating the WHY word. This is akin to getting a computer to work out the value
of PI. It doesn’t compute.

The bit that really gets to me is where they say they have too many customers
to answer the telephone on time. Are they deliberately trying to lose some of
those customers in order to reduce the customer service workload? Certainly they
will get their wish if they continue in this way. Also, many of these call
centres will not ring out. This is not fair on customers. And why can’t they
take a general complaint without putting the complainant through their
administration machine?

I think that not answering the phone in good time is plain rude. I think that
refusing to return calls is also rude. I think many customer service centres are
centres of rudeness. For that reason I try to avoid such companies. It is very
rare that the staff I speak with are rude. I actually feel sympathy towards them
because it is the system itself that is creates rudeness, not the staff.

Most customer service centres require the customer to do most of the
administration. Most of them require the customer to progress chase. Most
require the customer follow their procedures, even when the very
procedures may be the subject of the complaint.

Just as a little suggestion that might at least start to improve things, why
doesn’t the customer services person start the conversation with: “Hello my
name is ……, can I take your name?” and then spend the rest of the call
referring to the caller by their name. This would set the tone for the rest of
the conversation.

Who are these rude companies anyway? In my experience they tend to be larger
companies. They are companies that see customer service centres as loss centres.
Some try to get their customer service centres to sell add-on products and
services in order to alleviate the cost. Others run these centres on a
shoestring in order to minimise cost to the point that there is little customer
service on offer. Others will do both.

I think that a pattern has emerged over the years. Large companies that were
employing these practices a few years ago are not so large today. I am convinced
that these practices result in a kind of delayed time bomb where each brush with
customer services is another straw placed on the camel’s back. Eventually a
competitor comes along. They treat you like a human being and happily place the
final straw on the unfortunate camel that was your previous supplier.

When will companies realise that customers are the source of their revenue
and must be treated with sincerity and with respect. When will they learn basic
manners such as the common courtesy of answering the telephone or returning a
call?

If you are in the business of stocks and shares, just try this tip: make a
call to a few large companies and see which one treats you with like a human
being …and invest in them!

The truth is that companies that look after their customers and make friends
with them become tomorrow’s winners. Take Arkay Hygiene. They treat their
customers with respect. The same can be said of the excellent staff at
Insect-o-Cutor. These two companies do not put customers on hold and refuse to
return calls. Arkay Hygiene happens to be the most successful UK wholesaler of
Insect-o-Cutor Fly Killers. Oh, and Insect-o-Cutor are the most successful fly
killer manufacturer. Enough said.

If you want the best of the best of the best, how about taking a look at the
most powerful Insectocutor fly killer model there is. That is the IND61

Debt collection agencies act on behalf of creditors to collect on severely overdue accounts. Reputable agencies work within specific guidelines and adhere to the legal framework set down in Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the federal law that regulates all collection agencies.

There are several advantages in using these agencies -

• they remove the hassle of pursuing debts from your company, saving you time and money;

• third party involvement in debt collection has proven time and again to improve your chances of recovering your money; these people are specialists in negotiating with debtors and the results usually speak for themselves;

• potentially a skillfully negotiated debt collection could mean continued future custom from the debtor;

• debt collection agencies can combine sales ledger management and debt collection;

• debt collectors keep you within the law…

The disadvantages are -

• debt collection does cost money; you are trading off the debt collection against any charges made by the collection agency and/or a percentage of the money collected (although there are lower cost, flat fee alternatives);

• the debt collection agency will be establishing a relationship with your customers which could be potentially harmful if they sour that relationship by not dealing with invoices in a courteous and diplomatic fashion…

Finally, remember to select a collection agency with a good reputation. Don’t just shop for the best price. Remember- less reputable agencies can damage your own reputation as well as your wallet.

One of the toughest challenges facing any designer is the web page. There are perhaps millions of pages in the World Wide Web all jostling for attention. The question that is foremost is how you as a designer can make a difference.

Study the subject being featured. Visit as many sites as possible that cover the same as well as related topics. Make a list of what works and what doesn’t. Avoid using a design that is going to be uniform with others. Unless your pages are distinctive they are not going to work.

1. Try and avoid run of the mill things like page counters, java text scrolling, flashing images, GIF images, signs which say “we are not ready.” Or, too many illustrations or animations, black grounds or fade ins.

2. Create a design which coveys in a stylish way what it has to. Instead of using downloaded illustrations use original ones.

3. Avoid things like heavy files or graphics. These will slow down your pages. GIF is better than JPEG files.

4. Think of the target audience and subject being addressed when designing. The overall effect should be that of exclusivity.

5. Avoid incorporating download plugins. While Flash is innovative and fun you will loose viewers if you don’t provide an HTML alternative.

6. Design the pages so that they are not more than 50K.

7. Remember the rule of thumb; a web page should not have more than three screens. And, ensure that the viewer does not have to scroll horizontally.

8. Test your website pages with several browsers. Make sure they open quickly and completely. Do a reality check by asking a cross section of users to check the site. Usability checking will bring to the fore any mistakes made.

9. Don’t use backgrounds with tiles or patterns it makes the design fussy and decreases readability. Avoid frames they make the pages difficult to book mark.

10. Determine accurately the rules of creative design and ensure that you apply them. If you have links make sure they work. Limit page content. Pay attention to search engine optimization. Ensure that the design follows the content and is not a separate element. Maintain archives. Use innovative fonts and titles. The content should follow basic elements of style or a style sheet.

When designing the web page think about the site as a whole not each page separately. There should continuity in design. Include a site map for easy navigation. Pay attention to imparting knowledge, include information on the subject of the site, give tips, make available how to articles as well as publications on the topic. The site and pages should be interactive without being a nuisance, so links must be well thought of and of practical use.

Keep in mind at all times the 5 golden principles of design: balance, rhythm, proportion, dominance, and unity.
