Gregory Narick, a 19-year-old Douglass man who has posted materials on his MySpace site about his fascination with guns, was sentenced to house arrest by Montgomery County Judge William J. Furber Jr. Although he was able to get himself out of charges of menacing and assaulting using a rifle. The house arrest will not be an easy one. “The restrictions are going to be very tight. He’s going to wear an ankle bracelet that beeps every 45 seconds so Adult Probation knows exactly where he is,” Furber said.

Narick’s mom was asked to make sure that contrabands such as weapons and drugs should not be found at any given time at the house; otherwise, the judge will not hesitate to put him to jail. The decision was based on Narick’s offensive postings on his MySpace layouts. “I’ve watched myself nearly shoot a (derogatory term) in the head” and “I’ve just watched myself beat a 40 plus years sentence” and “I am my own hero.”

Well, he could not be more wrong, when asked by the judge: “What’s the matter with you Mr. Narick?” He simply replied, “I made a mistake.” This answer will not satisfy the judge as the young man has made several serious mistakes, some people are even concerned if he’s able to lead a normal life in a civilized society.

Narick was ordered to take psychological evaluation and delete all the social networking accounts he owns among which the most conspicuous one is on MySpace. He was allowed for a bail but new conditions such as house arrest were included.

Christopher Parisi, Assistant District Attorney holds the view that Narick should not be allowed for the bail because he failed to keep to the conditions of the initial bail. Narick somehow found his way to contact the victim in his pending case by posting threatening messages on the internet which violated the conditions. Meanwhile, Narick’s defense lawyer James P. Lyons couldn’t agree. “I think it was juvenile posturing more than anything else,” he said.

Anyway, Narick should be thankful that he was able to get out of some serious charges including attempted murder, aggravated and simple assault and propulsion of misseles into an occupied vehicle. All these started with an argument with Weller who dated the same girl as Narick did and can be viewed as his rival consequently. According to Narick, the WASR-10 semiautomatic rifle fired accidently when he walked towards Weller’s car and the jury bought his story.

However, the case is far from over, Narick still faces reckless endangerment and charges of possession of illegal drugs found at his home.

A lot of people handle monetary shortfall at some juncure in their lives For that reason, unpaid commitments will likely creep up. A person can sometimes deal with these challenges due to work loss, divorce, abrupt loss of a family or just simple bad individual cash management. Companies usually confront this adversity inside the initial couple years of business. To blame for a venture bankruptcy can vary from increased competition, accidents, loss of big accounts to identify some. Whatever the reason, outstanding debt could perhaps lead to insolvency. Conversely, there are alternatives to bankruptcy that can save your individual credit report and your business credit standing.

Insolvency is definable as the inability of a family or a corporation to remunerate the financial obligations owed to their creditors. If filed, the debt holder (you or the establishment) is required to give up all nonexempt real property and possessions for liquidation. While individual items are held, you must also promise a pre-decided share of your earned revenue to the creditors based upon a repayment agreement. Your credit rating will be almost zero for ages, meaning that you will not be able to find funding for whatever private or business for a extended time.

Problems such as these can cause incredible trouble. Dissolution legal proceedings are exceedingly abrasive and may result in caustic sentiments and deeds. Looking for beneficial directions out of an uncomfortable situation before you get to dissolution lawcourt is advisable. Debt resolution could perhaps be just the option for you.

You might ask: “How come my bankers are are ready to allow for debt negotiation?” The fact is that any substitute is beneficial to the creditor when compared to bankruptcy. Bankruptcy alternatives are worthwhile to the creditor. The financial institute will be able to recoup at least a part of the funds that the creditors are owed and you are capable to manage. Allowing a debt negotiation program that is always less than the original sum you really owe is better than nothing at all.

Debt arbitration is an exceedingly positive substitute when compared with insolvancy for you, as an individual or a commercial enterprise proprietor. Especially when you are taking the future into account. Insolvancy should be fended off at all costs giving consideration to the fact that receiving credit will be almost unthinkable for any private or business organization you may experience later down the road. In that respect, there is not much of a blank canvas; bankruptcy stays with you wherever you go. Irrespective of what kind of debt you have got, always seek a debt settlement plan as the preferred selection when you are considering financial insolvency.

Beta-Glucan Information

April 18th, 2009

Beta-Glucan is an extremely potent, immune activating substance taken from the cellular walls of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker’s yeast). The extraction is so pure that consumption of Beta-Glucan is harmless, unlike consuming large amounts of yeast. So, even if you have yeast related problems, including overgrowths and infections, Beta-Glucan is a perfectly safe immune supplement to take.

In the late 1980s, Dr. Joyce Czop of Harvard University describes how cells known as macrophage, which are the front line defense of the immune system, contain a special receptor for yeast in Beta-Glucan. In addition to recognizing and eliminating tumor cells throughout the body, macrophage cells also produce several essential cytokines that help to fortify the immune system’s natural defences against infections and viruses. The more activated macrophage cells there are in the body, the better the immune response, thus the medical community has a great ongoing interest in Beta Glucan.

According to an article by Donald J. Carrow, M.D., in a 1996 Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients, “There is now evidence to show that Beta-Glucan is, from an evolutionary point of view, the most widely and most commonly observed macrophage activator in nature.”

Dr. Carrow has said that Beta-Glucan is an excellent supplementation option for people who have impaired immunity from any cause, including chronic fatigue, recurring stress, fibromyalgia, persistent viruses, or even environmental pollutants. Beta-Glucan is generally accepted as safe, has no known toxicity or side effects, and was approved by the FDA in 1998.

In addition to its immune boosting qualities, Beta Glucan has been shown to lower cholesterol by as much as 20%. If you are looking for a long-term health-enhancing supplement, Beta Glucan definitely has the potential to be an excellent choice.

Question : I HAVE a friend who is HIV+ with a CD 4 of 600+. Is there any natural and safe remedy for such a case? Is there a product which can eliminate the virus from his system?

Answer : CERTAIN nutrients may help in building up his immune system to fight the virus.

Beta-glucan, a long-chained polysaccharide molecule derived from the cell wall of the common Baker’s yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), is an active, safe and potent immune regulator that improves the immune system without pushing it to over- reactivity. Hence it does not create complications for those with auto- immune diseases.

Beta-glucan accomplishes this by activating the immune response through the specialised immune cells known as macrophages to yield various therapeutic effects. Besides its immune-enhancing effects, beta-glucan has also been known to assist the body in regulating cholesterol levels, promote rapid wound healing and inflammation, protect against radiation exposure and prevent infection.

Combined with powerful anti- free radical nutrients such as beta-carotene, and selenium, polysaccharides and vitamins A, C and E with zinc in a formulation will help strengthen the immune system.

Several studies have indicated that the stimulation of the immune system by beta-glucan results in enhanced resistance to most virus, bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections. A trial using beta-glucan to prevent infection in patients after undergoing abdominal and lung surgery or gastrointestinal surgery found that it significantly reduces the rate of infections. Investigators of the trial concluded that beta-glucan was safe and could potentially decrease life-threatening post-operative infections.

The Elusive Six-Pack

April 12th, 2009

A common goal among exercisers is to achieve those washboard abs that the models in the fitness magazines all seem to have. Endless crunches, leg raises, side bends, sit ups, strapping into the ab machines at the gym. People continue to search for the secret to the elusive ’six pack’, often without much success. Turn on late night TV and you are sure to catch more than one infomercial promoting some new miracle device that will give you fitness magazine abs without any effort at all. If perfect abs are your goal, one thing you can be sure of, those infomercial products will make your wallet smaller faster than your waistline.

So, for those of us who are not fitness models, how can we develop a trim, defined midsection? Several points need to be addressed. First, the ‘abs’ are made up of several muscles. The one most people associate with is the rectus abdominus, located in the front of the abdomen between the ribs and the pelvis. Although it is one muscle, it is divided by grooves, the tendinous inscriptions, which is why it is often referred to as the ’six pack’ (in reality it is an ‘eight pack’). The primary function of the rectus abdominus is to flex the trunk, or bring the rib cage down towards the pelvic bone. In addition to this muscle, the internal and external obliques (located on the sides of your abdomen), and the transverse abdominus (running perpendicular to and underneath the rectus abdominus) are the main muscles that make up your ‘abs’. A properly designed fitness program will incorporate exercises that work each of these muscles and not focus solely on the ’six pack’. In addition, in order to provide strength and stabilization to your trunk, and avoid imbalances that can lead to injury, exercises that strengthen the muscles of the back and hips should be part of a complete program.

The second point is that your abdominal muscles, like the other muscles of your body, need recovery time between training sessions. It is a popular misconception that it is okay to work your midsection every day. You would not think about doing squats every day, as your legs need time to recover and grow. The same principle applies here, meaning you should not work your abdominal muscles every day either. More is also not necessarily better when it comes to repetitions. Performing 25 well executed crunches is far more effective than being able to proudly proclaim the ability to do 200 crunches with poor form.

Next, do not waste your money on those infomercial contraptions that promise ‘great abs in just minutes a day’ or ‘great abs without the effort’ or any other promise that sounds too good to be true. The only thing to believe about those infomercials is that not a single one of the well paid actors and models in them got their perfect bodies by using those worthless devices. Most of the products you see are poorly designed and often do not even target the abdominal muscles, instead focusing on the hip flexor muscles. All you need for an effective abdominal workout is enough space for a mat on the floor and proper instruction. Throw in an inexpensive stability ball and you can add a whole new dimension and challenge to your workouts.

Finally, the reality is that for the vast majority of us, the ’six pack’ is already there. Unfortunately for that same vast majority, our body fat levels do not allow it to be seen. Despite what the ads and infomercials will tell you, it is not possible to spot reduce the amount of fat covering certain areas of your body, no matter how many crunches, side bends, or repetitions with some silly device you do. By themselves, exercises targeting these muscles will make the muscles themselves stronger, but do little, if anything, to shrink the layer of body fat covering them. The key to achieving that lower level of body fat is through a program of healthy, balanced nutrition, combined with moderate aerobic exercise and basic resistance training that targets all of the major muscle groups in your body, in addition to your ‘abs’. So, the next time you catch yourself watching those late night infomercials, realize that is actually how those actors got those perfect bodies, and not by using those worthless products they are trying to get you to waste your money on.

One great revelation in the aerospace industry is designing wings, which create small cyclone airflows over the wing. The mini-horizontal Tornadoes “suck” the wing up ward as the airflows go over the top of the surface. Now then in speaking of such induced above wing turbulence and vortex eddies a though had occurred. I had an idea and concept of creating a pre-leading edge devices, that would pop out from the leading edge of an aircraft and there would be 30 per wing.

These protruding devices would pop out and stick up from the top of the leading edge about 8-10 inches at a 22 degree angle with a shape which started a violent vortex rotation of the relative wind over the wing. Used for take off and landing, instead of or in addition to slats. This would improve lift and allow us to shorten the wings and thus allow for better high-speed characteristics and less parasite drag. This also means less weight for the aircraft, which would translate to fuel economy. Less fuel needed for intended range would increase useful load and thus make the entire project worthy of further investigation and prototype development to prove concept? Think on this.

Belief, Designed For Life!

April 11th, 2009

Liam says to Joe; “where is your God now, when life can be made in a laboratory”?

Joe says to Liam; “it couldn’t have happened, but for the presence of God”.

It was a short debate involving two non-scientific people, but wasn’t it interesting?

While Liam set out to demolish Joe’s faith, he was left with a simple retort that quietened him. In this case, the non-believer lost because he had nothing substantial to believe in.

And the believer, far from a theologian, won the debate because he had.

While the above centred on religion, can’t it be applied to belief in anything?

There is not a court in the world that can change your belief, should you insist on it, whatever about changing your physical position.

Whether you are locked up or executed even, the will can be more difficult to break than the life.

This has been the case since we began, but appears more vulgar when weighed against advances in civilisation, in its negative state, anyway. There would be no war but for this primitive remit.

With everyday, more civil matters, it is belief that drives everything that is driven with speed, and is more potent than desire.

Most people know someone that gives 100% focus and attention to what they do. They often suceed.

Indeed, if we bring the process further back, not much in time but in our time and pre-birth situation, something kept us going.

Call it innate or a component of our primitive remit; something powerful gets us to our first breath. And it wasn’t easy, even if we forget it.

A lot of us know people with such single-mindedness or focus that they appear oblivious to most other matters, and sometimes crazy.

This is the raw side of it, as we can only zoom in on one hundred matters with one-hundredth attention.

Love and its implied blindness are helped by such conviction. If it is not believed in, then failure is more possible and less attention to it will reflect in its result.

Those that use conscious or sub-conscious tools such as affirmation are at least, devoting more time to it.

Many “believe” that self-belief can be cultured, and it probably can but is more difficult for some and dependent on the circumstances.

Someone with fifteen kids, for example, cannot with good conscious become a “new me” too easily. Well not to the extent that a single person can, so there will always be variables, and always be hope, hopefully.

Such family bound people can at the least, take smaller steps towards the bigger picture. A long-term plan can be initiated and five minutes a day towards it, can surely be found.

That person in a crisis, lifting many times their own weight, can do so because the weight itself is not their primary issue and some body chemistry will come to help. This is another component of culturing, and why culturing is possible.

So Joe is more content and secure in his belief, and Liam is insecure and argumentative. No one can really say that either is right. Well they can! But what will work for the individual?

“There must be some benefit to belief, I believe”.

Most of us are fortunate enough to live in places where we’re free to choose how we live. What we think, what we do for a living, how we spend our time - for the most part, we choose all of those for ourselves.

“Independence” can refer to so many things. When we talk about our prosperity, what do we want to be independent of? From what must we declare our freedom?

Here’s a big one: independence from the limitations of the opinions of others. Many of us feel the conscious or unconscious need to live up - or down - to the expectations of others.

We’re playing roles in our families that we’re reluctant to break out of. Maybe our parents set parameters for our lives - big ones or small ones - and we’re afraid to burst through those boundaries and “disappoint” them.

We’re uncomfortable if we rise above our current peer group. That’s not just because we want to fit in, but also because our peers make us feel uncomfortable if we don’t. Many of the people who are in the same situation we are don’t want us to break out of it. If we do, it reminds them that they could too, if they wanted to. But they haven’t made the decision to do what it would take, and that’s not a good feeling. Even if they don’t actively hold us back, they don’t encourage us to break the mold.

I’ve heard it said that where you’ll be in five years can be predicted by looking at the five people you spend most of your time with. Why would that be? Because that’s the mindset you build around yourself. That’s the energy you spend your time in. If you consistently surround yourself with people in the same circumstances you’re in, you’re not in an environment that will help you generate new ideas that would move you beyond. And if you do come up with these ideas, you’re not supported in developing and pursuing them.

In his highly motivating book “Prosperity”, Charles Fillmore writes:

There is a great similarity in the homes of nearly all people who have about the same-sized incomes…But here and there are exceptions. Someone is expressing his or her individuality…This free, independent spirit has much in its favor in making a prosperity demonstration. The delusion that it is necessary to be just like other people are or to have as much as other people have causes a spirit of anxiety that hinders the exercise of faith in demonstration.

We all know to fight the tendency to envy what our neighbors have. Here we call it “keeping up with the Joneses” - that feeling that if the Jones family down the street got a new big-screen television set, we should get one too. But what about the urge to keep “down” with the Joneses? Is your circle of acquaintances subtly keeping you from looking ahead and thinking bigger? Are you choosing to let them? That’s not to say you need to give up your friends. But you can be open to more than what they see.

We’re lucky enough to live in societies that allow us our choices. What a waste it would be to not give ourselves the chance to exercise them.

The chances of scooping the Euromillions jackpot is a far-off one : seventy-six million but the chances of winning a cash prize is a fairly decent 1 : 24. If the jackpot is not won on a given week, it is brought forward to the next lotto draw that will result in an ever increasing jackpot value. New rules brought in on the 09/02/2007 set the amount of consecutive roll-overs to 11, with the jackpot rolled out to lower value levels in the eleventh lottery draw when the prize is not won.

The Euro millions lottery or the Euro Lottery, as it’s normally known, pools the ticket receipts of the 9 partaking European countries giving a giant European Lottery jack-pot. With the number of nations joining the Euro on the increase, that will without a doubt lead to more states partaking in the European lotto. An increase in the amount of people partaking in the euro millions will lead to a lasting growth of the already whopping Euro Millions jackpots.

The recent regulations likewise initiated European Super-Draw which happen twice annually and offer jackpots in the region of 100 million pounds. The difference with Super Draws is that the jack-pot must be collected during the week of the draw; this means, if there is no ticket matching, all the numbers drawn and the top prize will be allotted to the ticket bearer(s) on the succeeding winning prize level.

Each and every player has to choose five primary numbers from 1 to 50 and 2 Lucky Star numbers from 1 to 9. During the lotto draw, 5 primary plus 2 lucky-star numbers are then picked out at random from two draw machines containing numbered lotto balls.
