Success for TennisLeagueNetworks First National Tennis Tourney

Massachusetts- Tennis League Network (TLN) ran its first ever USA tourney on Nov. 6-8 at Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne, FL. It was happily attended by league players throughout the US. The match play was wild and the players all really enjoyed the beautiful Miami weather. winners were awarded in the Men’s 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 levels and Women’s Open Division.

“This was an absolute joy to run as the tennis participants were all about getting out on the tennis courts and playing some competitive tennis” said Steve Chagnan, TLN CEO. The majority of the tennis participants who attended won their individual playoffs to get the right to take part in the USA tourney.

The metro area seasons under the TLN umbrella serve to connect local, dedicated tennis players who want to play a lot of tennis. Our team make sure that tennis participants are connected with closely-matched tennis partners. Matches are played predominantly on public courts. It has been a extremely successful program, Chagnan said. Since 2006, there have been more than 42,700 matches played; 2009 saw a 51% increase in on court connections over 2008.

After many years of determining local champions, the conception of the National tourney was concocted to give these players a whole new level of involvement. Now we have to see who really has the best players; Boston, Los Angeles, Houston or maybe a tennis player from a minute franchise like Ames. At the very least it will be a whole lot of tennis with some great early November weather.

Registration has open for 2010 seasons, its time for you to try to qualify to join us in Miami. Male or Female tennis player we hope to have the tennis partners for you who will meet up with you on the tennis courts.
