The historic Jaguar site on Browns Lane in Coventry will undergo a transformation into a major commercial centre under the initiative of Advantage West Midlands and Goodman property groups. A sprawling commercial destination spanning 30 hectares will encourage mainly manufacturing companies to invest and energize the local economy in Coventry.

The proposal includes almost 90,000 sq ft of commercial area, with 82,000 sq ft reserved for manufacturing units and 7,000 sq ft for office space with plans to include complete office fitout. It also has area for development of residential real estate, where about 172 cheap home apartments will come up with ample play area and open space.

Goodman developer Graham Pardoe believes that major investments are hoped from this development that will uplift the economy in Coventry. He added that their joint venture with Advantage West Midlands has seen a fruitful collaboration involving structural planning for proportional distribution of residential apartments, offices, and manufacturing units in the proposed Jaguar site.

He also highlighted the Goodman track record of providing commercial and residential space to numerous clients to vitalize local economies, and added that Goodman is happy to find themselves involved in the ambitious project in Coventry.

On behalf of Advantage West Midlands, Head of Asset management Steve Holland told the media that space solution for the entire Browns Land area would be achieved through the proposed project. He added that the area will witness an economic revival, and echoed Pardoe’s belief in the project being able to vitalize the Coventry economy. He also said that Coventry would be the major business destination in the entire West Midlands area through this project, with new jobs and homes for the people.
